Nathan Grey fiddled with his hair as he watched the movers bring in his supplys into his workshop. It was a good buy for Nathan. He had a studio, gallery and living quarters in the basement. "Don't drop my bone sculptures!" said Nathan with a twitch to a mover. Soon he got bored with his hair, and moved on to twirling a paintbrush.

Jude walked down the street in his usual dark clothing. The hood to his zip up sweatshirt was up, his hands were in his pockets and his earphones blasted music. He walked in his familiar hunched over way. Jude wasn't going anywhere in particular. He looked up randomly and saw a new art studio. He walked towards it and looked through the glass window. Jude stared at a man that looked kind of nervous because he kept fidgiting. You wouldn't guess it from Jude's appearence, but he actually loved art.

"Oh! So here it goes here it goes here it goes again! So here it goes again!" said Nathan as he beat on the table with his paintbrushes. He then broke into an air guitar solo. He turned around to face Jude. "Oh." Nathan checked his wrist only to find no watch. "I wasn't expecting anyone until the lunchtime part of the day."

Jude hadn't realized that he had gone inside the studio. He looked around for a few moments before realizing that the man was talking to him. Jude turned down the music on his iPod, "Sorry," He said quietly. "I saw the sculptures and stuff and it looked cool."

Nathan nodded his head quickly, then said in a quiet voice. "Yep yep, very cool. I'm the artist Nathan Grey. And this is my studio "Shades of Grey." Get it?" Nathan looked at him questioningly.

Jude nodded slowly, "Yeah," He said, tapping his finger on his leg. Jude looked around again. "I read a book called 'Shades of Grey' in sixth grade," He recalled with a shrug. "No one in my class liked it except me."

Nathan made a hight pitched noise. "Heh." Then he looked around his studio, and ran toward a piece. It was large seat made to look like a nest, with a large mother vulture peering down. "It take true culture to apprieciate true art. That's logic." he said wrapping his hands around the vultures neck.

"Hmm..." Jude said, looking at the sculpture. He instinctivly went to touch the piece because he was so used to doing that to the stuff he made, but then pulled his hand away. "Sorry," He mumbled, taking a step back from Nathan and his sculpture.

"Oh no. My policy is give and take. Provoke and revoke. I presuaded you to touch, and the," Nathan looked at him, "natural human urge made you. Everything is encouraged here." He hopped up. "Shall we tour?"

Jude furrowed his eyebrows slightly at Nathan. "I guess so..." He replied. As they started walking Jude remembered that he forgot to introduce himself, "Oh, I'm Jude," He said, his voice was dark for some reason.

"Ah yes. Jude. Very equistrian. I like it. Equistrian might be what you'd call this." Nathan motioned to a sculpture. It was a large wax horse. It was detailed down to every hair. Except it was sliced in between a glass pane. A motor would pull the halfs apart then back together. Inside of the horses middle was a large yellow smiley face.

"Er, thanks," Jude replied, his eyes flashing to the door and then back to the new sculpture that Nathan had led him to. The yellow smiley face in the horse bothered Jude. It was too happy and too bright for him. Jude made a face and then looked at everything else on the horse, always avoiding the smiley face.

"Some people might think this represents happiness in death. But they would be wrong. This horse measure sixteen hands high. One-half of sixteen is eight. And eight is infinity. So there's happiness in infinite." Nathan moved along leading Jude. He talked as he walked. "Not all pieces in here are that cryptic and unsolvable. Some are just aesthetically pleasing, and easier to understand. Like this one." He signaled to a corkboard with arrows shot in it. The arrows formed the shaped of a heart.

"I like the concept of that," Jude said quietly, "But the smiley is too happy and too bright." He looked at the corks with the arrows that made a heart and furrowed his eyebrows again. Hearts usually symbolized love and Jude got nervous with love. He shrugged and looked at Nathan.

"So... What brought you in other then my work. Did you want to buy something? Learn my arts? Tutoring lessons? Be an intern? Or are you just curious?"
