Emmy set down with her curly fries and watched Stefan. Christ, she was so in love. She smiled and ate her fry. She loved curly fries. Especially when all the curls were stuck togething and it looked like a really big round fry... Geez, she could die for a bunch of curly fries just like that... Actually, she probably could die FROM a bunch of curly fries just like that. She sighed and ate another grease coated fry. Why does death have to taste so good?

Stefan ate his food and watched Emmy when she wasn't watching him. She looked like she was thinking about something very important because she was looking at her fries so intently. "Um, Emmy?" Stefan asked, with a smile, "Are you okay?"

Emmy was broken out of her day dream about a bunch of curly fries by her boyfriend. "What!? Oh, yeah, I'm fine..." She said back with a smile. "Tell me, love... Why do curly fries taste so damn good?"

"Okay," Stefan said, "You looked like you were gonna pop a blood vessel," He joked. Stefan couldn't help but laugh at Emmy's comment. "Haha, I don't know" He answered, still chuckling.

"Do you think it's the grease? Does the grease make it taste so good?" She asked, examining her fry and then desiding that she didn't really care anymore, she ate it. She looked back up at Stefan and smiled.

"Maybe," Stefan said with a nod and a smile. He chuckled again at Emmy's cuteness. Stefan ate some more of his fries and then looked around the fast food joint. No one he knew was there, but that didn't really matter to Stefan.

Emmy looked down at her fries and then back up at Stefan. "Do you have anything from your house that you need to get? Because I could go over there for you and get it..." Emmy offered, giving the rest of her fries to Stefan.

"No, don't worry about it," Stefan said. "I'll get my stuff." He had been thinking about that before. He would probably just get into his house while his parents were at work. He took a couple of the fries Emmy gave him and then threw the rest out.

Emmy watched him and smiled a bit. "Are you going to be okay?" She asked quietly, putting her hand on top of his lightly. It was probably one of the worst questions she could have asked.

Stefan smiled a small smile back at Emmy. "I'll be fine," He said. "I'll go when my parents aren't home so I won't have to deal with them. Hopefully no one texts me anything important while I don't have my phone," He joked.

Emmy smiled slightly and looked down. "I'm really sorry that that happened, Stefan..." She whispered. She would never tell him, but she was pretty sure that if she hadn't have come, then nothing would have happened.

"You have nothing to apologize for, Emmy," Stefan said seriously. "You didn't do anything. My parents are just like that. They have no sense of humor, no understanding of love and they don't react to change well. If you blame yourself for this, Emmy, it's going to absolutely kill me..."

Emmy bit her lip. She hated it when people said something like that. "No, it's those fries that are going to apsolutely kill you..." She said with a giggle and then leaned over the table and kissed Stefan.

"That would be part of it, too," Stefan said with a smirk. He leaned in a bit, and kissed Emmy back. He reluctantly broke the kiss when he glanced at the clock. "Let's get out of here," He said.

"You wanna head back to my place or is there somewhere else that you want us to go?" Emmy asked, standing up from her chair and fixing her shirt and shorts are she asked him. She slipped back on his shoes that she had taken off while they sat and ate.
